Main Character on The Witcher
1. Geralt of Rivia
Geralt of Rivia is the main character in this series. Geralt of Rivia is one of the most powerful and dangerous of the living witchers. He was trained by a skilled witcher named Vesemir. Geralt surpassed the trainer and became the greatest witcher of all living witchers. Geralt is known as an extraordinary swordsman. He is also proficient in magic. He often uses magic spells and marks in battle. Geralt also can create allies. This is very important for those who also share a lot of enemies.
Geralt of Rivia was a legendary wizard from the Wolf School who was active throughout the 13th century. He loves Yennefer even though their relationship is hard. Geralt displays an unusual tolerance for the mutagens that give witchers their abilities. Because of this, Geralt is subjected to a mutagen that turns his hair white and grants him greater speed, strength, and stamina compared to other witchers.
2. Yennefer Vengerberg
Yennefer comes from Vengerberg. She was born in Belleteyn in 1173. Yennefer was a witcher living in Vengerberg, the capital of Aedirn. She is Geralt’s true love. Yennefer is a mother figure for Ciri. He considers Ciri like his daughter so she does whatever it takes to protect Ciri from any kind of danger.
She also became an advisor to King Demavend of Aedirn (though never a formal royal adviser), a close friend of Triss Merigold, and the youngest member of the Council of Wizards within the Brotherhood of Sorcerers
3. Ciri
Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon (Ciri), born in 1252 or 1253. She is the only daughter of Cintra, daughter of Pavetta and Emhyr var Emreis (Duny), and granddaughter of Queen Calanthe.
After Geralt of Rivia helps lift Duny’s curse, Duny asks what gift Geralt wants and Geralt awakens the Law of Surprise because Pavetta is pregnant with Ciri without Duny knowing.
4. Jaskier
Julian Alfred Pankratz Viscount de Lettenhove or better known as Jaskier is a close friend of the series’ main character, Geralt of Rivia. He is a professional poet who travels the world. He played self-written songs to gain wealth and popularity. When Jaskier meets Geralt, the famous witcher, he finally has a brilliant idea.
Geralt’s adventures will inspire him to compose songs. In return, he will turn Geralt’s reputation into a hero of humanity. Since Jaskier became a close friend of Geralt, some interesting songs and verses about his battles are created. Geralt helps Jaskier to get out of his troubles.
5. Tissaia de Vries
Tissaia de Vries is a witcher and member of the Chapters of the Gift and the Art. She is one of the rectors at Aretuza and the author of The Poisoned Source. When teaching at Aretuza, she brought Yennefer. Tissaia bought Yennefer from her stepfather. Yennefer’s stepfather even sold her for less than a pig. Even though the relationship between the two is somewhat tense, Tissaia is a better parent to Yennefer.
Tissaia was the one who corrected Yennefer’s stooped posture. He cured her of various ailments. Tissaia plays a firm mother figure for Yennefer.
